Roger Tiley photographed at the Griffin mine near Pontypool in South Wales in 1983. During this time, there were still small private mine scattered across the South Wales valleys.
In this zine, Roger captures the traditional methods of coal mining. The mine used pit ponies up until it's closure a few years later.
